Dallas Cowboys return to Oxnard for training
The boys are back! The Dallas Cowboys are returning to the City of Oxnard to train for the upcoming football season.
The Cowboys will arrive on Saturday, July 22 with the first practice session taking place two days later. Visitors will be able to watch the team train at the River Ridge Playing Fields located at 2101 West Vineyard Avenue.
The camp is free and parking is just $10 Monday through Friday, and $15 on Saturday and Sunday. If you are staying at an Oxnard hotel, however, parking is free of charge and a parking pass is provided for each day of stay.
The Residence Inn by Marriott at River Ridge will once again serve as the headquarters hotel for the Cowboys.
Visitors can also take advantage of the other offerings provided at the camp, including a Kids Zone with different types of interactive games and the Cowboys on Tour Truck featuring team merchandise and Hall of Fame trailers.
There will also be special performances by the Cowboys cheerleaders for visitors to enjoy.
The Oxnard City Council approved a two-year extension with the Cowboys to host training camp in the city through 2018. That extension also included a two-year option that would allow the Cowboys to return in 2019 and 2020.
