Street shut down after strange substance found in Santa Barbara
A report of a mysterious substance discovered on Camino Calma Street in a Santa Barbara Mesa neighborhood, prompted the closure of the street Thursday morning.
The street was blocked off for two hours after the strange substance was found inside a car. The incident was first reported at 8:00 a.m.
A Santa Barbara City Fire crew and Santa Barbara police were on scene and set up a command post.
An official on scene said the substance found in the car was tested at the scene and was determined to be non-toxic.
