Donation bins full to overflowing in many locations
Donation bins have been overflowing ever since a good samaritin reported a theft from one in Goleta.

A bin near a CVS on State Street in Santa Barbara was surrounded by donations until someone picked them up overnight.
The numbers donors call to report the need for collections is not answered in person so there is no one to ask about where the items are headed.
Reports in other states have said charities don’t always get the goods but they get a financial donation.
The sign on these bins only says reuse, reduce and recycle.
