Kyle’s Kitchen opens second location in Santa Barbara

A popular burger and salad restaurant that also gives back opened its second location on Saturday.

Kyle’s Kitchen is taking over its sister eatery Silvergreens on 791 Chapala Street.

Kyle Ferro was on hand for the grand opening of his eponymous restaurant.

The 13-year-old with special needs serves as the inspiration for the eatery’s mission statement: giving back.

A portion of the proceeds from sales are donated to special needs organizations in the community.

In the first two years of business at the Goleta location, Kyle’s Kitchen has donated more than $100,000 to organizations such as the Special Olympics, Alpha Resource Center and Devereau.

“We started this thing two years ago and didn’t know what to expect. we wanted to serve great burgers and salads, of course. “But more than that, we wanted to meaningfully give back to the special needs community,” said Kyle’s dad, Jay Ferro.
