A man was arrested after a brief foot pursuit in Santa Barbara and is facing criminal charges for resisting, delaying or obstructing a police officer.

The incident occurred Wednesday morning in the area of Anapamu Street and Walnut Avenue in Santa Barbara’s westside.

Santa Barbara police say the man, whose identity has not been released, was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant. When officers spotted the man, he fled on foot towards the nearby railroad tracks.
