Dons shutout in Newbury Park in CIF playoffs
Carson Lambert pitched a complete game, two-hit shutout as Newbury Park advanced past Santa Barbara 3-0 in a CIF-SS division 2 first round playoff baseball game.
Lambert struck out seven Dons.
It was the second straight playoff game that the Dons managed just two hits but they won their wild-card game 2-1 over Burroughs on Wednesday despite the low hit total.
The Dons end the year 12-15-1 while Newbury Park advances to play at Laguna Beach in a second round game.
