Camp Fire in SLO County 100% contained

UPDATE

The Camp Fire burning near Camp San Luis Obispo is 100 percent contained and burned 225 acres, according to Cal Fire SLO.

Crews will remain on scene putting out hot spots and mopping up.

ORIGINAL STORY

Fire crews were busy Thursday morning battling two wildfires that broke out in San Luis Obispo County.

The first blaze ignited near Camp San Luis Obispo off Highway 1 and Range Road, according to Cal Fire. The Camp Fire, as it’s been called, has scorched at least 20 acres.

Cal Fire SLO tweeted that firefighters are making good progress on the Camp Fire. No injuries have been reported.

A second fire broke out on O’Donovan Road near Creston–east of Atascadero. The Spring Fire was quickly contained at one acre, Tweeted Cal Fire SLO.

No further information was immediately available for the Camp Fire. Check back for updates.
