Teen stabbed during late night house party in Port Hueneme
A 16-year-old boy from Oxnard was transported to the hospital late Saturday evening after being stabbed during a house party in Port Hueneme.
Officers initially responded to a residence on the 400 block of Dahl Avenue just before midnight for a report of a fight. Officers were unable to locate any victims and were only able to find a party that was already dispersing.
Later in the night, officers received word of a boy admitted to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard with severe lacerations to the face.
Police determined that the victim was stabbed during the earlier fight and then brought to the hospital by friends.
The victim’s injuries were serious but not considered life threatening.
The suspect has been described as a light skinned male that was wearing a black hat. The suspect is believed to have left the party after the incident in a silver Toyota 4Runner.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Detective Rocque Lopez, Sr. at the Port Hueneme Police Department (805) 986-6578.
