One person killed, two others injured in Cholame Highway 41/46 crash
One person is dead following a fatal head-on crash Saturday morning at Cholame “Y” where Highway 41 and Highway 46 connect.
Two other people were seriously injured in the crash, according to Cal Fire SLO. The California Highway Patrol’s incident website reports a dark gray Honda Odyssey and a light gray sedan collided into each other head-on just after 7:30 a.m.
Only the eastbound lane appears to be blocked at this time. A Calstar helicopter was called out to the scene.
There’s no time estimate on when the roadway is expected to reopen. CHP is directing traffic with one lane open.
