Crews from Cal Fire San Luis Obispo extinguished five spot fires near Templeton late Thursday afternoon.

The small fires were reported at around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Moss Lane and El Pomar Road.

The fires were contained to a total of about half of an acre and crews remained on scene for a few hours to monitor hot spots.

According to the California Highway Patrol log, the fires may have been intentionally lit by the driver of a white Toyota sedan. Those reports are unconfirmed.
