Frank Hotchkiss running for Santa Barbara Mayor

Two-term Santa Barbara City Councilman Frank Hotchkiss announced that he plans to run for Mayor of Santa Barbara at a small event at Chuck’s Waterfront Grill Saturday evening.

Hotchkiss will bid for the position currently held by Mayor Helene Schneider. Schneider is ineligible to run after serving eight years in the role.

In a press release, Hotchkiss outlined his priorities which include upgrading the police department, increasing the amount of off-street parking and rejecting any proposals for rent control in the city.
