SLO Airport extends transportation service to Lyft drivers

Getting a ride just got easier at the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. Lyft drivers will now be permitted to pick up and drop off passengers at the airport.

“We are pleased to provide an additional ground transportation option for our passengers,” said Kevin Bumen, Director of Airports. “We look forward to adding Lyft to the current roster of TNCs, taxis, limos and shuttle bus services.”

Competitive service Uber began service at the airport in 2016.

“Like Uber, Lyft drivers will pick up and drop off riders at the white curbs in front of the terminal, and operate from off-airport locations at all other times,” said a statement by airport officials.

The airport will begin offering nonstop flights to Denver on United Airlines on June 8.
