Thousand Oaks police searching for vehicle burglary suspect

The Thousand Oaks Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who is believed to be responsible for a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred near California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.

On April 9, deputies investigated a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred during the early morning hours. Surveillance video showed a single male breaking into two separate vehicles by shattering the window and removing property.

The suspect is seen leaving in a white Nissan Maxima.

The same suspect is a person of interest in another series of vehicle burglaries that took place in Camarillo in March.

Anyone with any information about the pictured suspect or vehicle is asked to contact Thousand Oaks Police Detective Christopher Zapata at (805) 494-8221 or call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.

Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 reward for information, which leads to the arrest and criminal complaint against the person responsible for this crime. The caller may remain anonymous and the call is not recorded.
