Lompoc man wanted for threatening to kill woman

The Lompoc Police Department is seeking the public’s help to locate 20-year-old Jackie Steven Coats for probation violation and alleged criminal threats.

Coats also goes by the nickname Jack Coats, said authorities. He’s described as a white male adult, 6-feet tall weighing 170 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. Police say he has an “L” tattoo on the right side of his next, and “L” with a swastika tattoo on his left hand and multiple other tattoos.

Coats is accused of attempting to slash a woman’s car tired with a large knife on April 19. After the victim confronted Coats, police say he ran after her while holding the knife and threatening to kill her.
