Vehicle slams into house in Guadalupe
The Guadalupe Fire Department responded to the corner of Calle Cesar E Chavez and La Purisma Street in Guadalupe for a report of a vehicle into the side of a home early Monday morning.
At around 6:00 a.m., a white Toyota sedan went through an occupied room with two sleeping residents. The residents were uninjured but were shaken up.
The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle, they suffered minor injuries.
It does not appear that the driver was impaired, it’s possible that weather conditions played a part in the crash as fire officials said it was raining heavily at the time of the crash.
The bathroom and the room affected are currently unusable and will likely need to be boarded up but the building is still structurally sound.
Residents were in contact with their home insurance providers. Fire officials estimate the damage ranging from $10,000 to $15,000.
