Santa Barbara protesters demand Trump release tax returns

Protesters in Santa Barbara joined a nationwide protest demanding President Trump release his tax returns.

The large crowd gathered at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court on State Street and marched to De La Guerra Plaza.

Organizers say they are fed up with what they feel is the president’s lack of transparency, plans to repeal and replace the affordable care act and his tax plan.

Many say they want Trump’s tax returns made public.

President Trump has said repeatedly that the public doesn’t care, but protesters say recent polls show 74 percent of Americans do.

Similar protests were held in Ventura and San Luis Obispo Counties and across the country.
