Gauchos start 4-game homestand by blasting Nevada

JJ Muno ripped a 3-run homer and Kenny Corey also added three RBI as UCSB beat Nevada 10-3.

Corey’s 2-run double in the first inning put UCSB up 2-1 and the Gauchos never trailed again.

Muno broke the game open in the third with his second home run of the season, the two-out blast put the Gauchos up 6-2.

Freshman Ben Brecht pitched six solid innings for the victory.

UCSB is 13-17 on the year and begin a 3-game Big West home series on Thursday at 3pm against UC Irvine.
