He coached the Gauchos for 30 years and won over 500 men’s volleyball games, now Ken Preston is a Legend of the Dome.

Preston, who coached UCSB from 1979-2008, was overwhelmed at the unveiling of his picture that will hang in the rafters of the Thunderdome.

He is a UCSB graduate and will also be inducted into the Gauchos Hall of Fame in 2018.

Dozens of former players were on hand to celebrate with their former coach who has battled Parkinson’s disease for over a decade.
