A bicyclist is recovering from injuries he suffered during a crash on Gibraltar Road in Santa Barbara County Thursday evening.
Santa Barbara City and County fire personnel were dispatched to the scene just after 3:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Gibraltar Road. A car, described by the California Highway Patrol as a white Nissan Versa, crashed into the bicyclist who was believed to be about 60 years old.
The vehicle was traveling up Gibraltar while the bicyclist was coming down the road and both met in the middle of the roadway when the crash occurred, according to the driver.
