Oxnard Police Department investigating deadly shooting

Oxnard Police Department detectives are investigating the city’s fourth homicide of the year.

Gun shots were reported Monday just before 10:30 p.m. Officers responded to the 400 block of North Bonita and located the shooting victim, according to police.

Officer provided first aid until EMS crews arrived, but police say the victim died at the scene. The person killed has not been identified.

Police do not have any suspects and have not ruled out that this shooting could be gang-related.

The City of Oxnard offers a $10,000 reward for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction in homicide cases.
