CHP releases identity of man killed in Templeton area crash

UPDATE

The California Highway Patrol has identified 21-year-old Wacey Stockdale of Shandon as the man killed in Monday’s crash in the area of Santa Rita Road and Indian Camp Road in San Luis Obispo County.

Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that drugs or alcohol played a factor in the deadly crash.

California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash Monday afternoon.

Templeton area CHP officials say one man is dead after his GMC Sonoma truck crashed. Investigation revealed he is 21 years old and from Shandon.

The crash scene is near the intersection of Santa Rita Road and Indian Camp Road in San Luis Obispo County. This is just west of the city of Templeton.

When CHP patrol officers arrived on scene they found the man’s truck rolled over, down a steep embankment. The truck landed in a creek bed.

Identity of the driver will be released once next of kin is notified.
