Give-a-Palooza 2.0 benefiting Special Olympics of Santa Barbara

Some of Santa Barbara’s most recognizable companies are coming together for Give-a-Palooza 2.0 on Friday afternoon.

The second-annual charity event benefits Special Olympics of Santa Barbara and teams up company employees with Special Olympics athletes. From basketball to corn hole, volleyball to jumbo soccer, teams will be competing for major bragging rights and the super-cool Give-a-Palooza trophy.

“The Towbes Group created Give-a-Palooza as an opportunity for local companies to financially support the Special Olympics of Santa Barbara,” a company release said “And go a step further by encouraging employees to leave the desk for the turf for some fun competition with local Special Olympics athletes.”

The event will be held in Goleta at Cabrillo Park. Located at 6601 Hollister Avenue. The games begin at 4 p.m. and wrap up around 6 p.m. Spectators are invited to come and cheer on the teams.

Teams participating in Give-a-Palooza 2.0 along side great Special Olympics athletes include: The Towbes Group, Deckers Brand, Santa Barbara Zoo, Montecito Bank & Trust, Curvature, COX, Bacara Resort & Spa, and Sansum Clinic. The event will be hosted by NewsChannel 3’s Joe Buttitta.
