Dueling demonstrations square off at Ventura intersection on Saturday
Dueling demonstrations led to heated discussions, but not violence in Ventura on Saturday.
People at a Simi Valley pro Trump rally last month announced plans to rally again on Saturday afternoon on the corner of Main and Mill Streets in front the Pacific View Mall.
Trump opponents decided to protest right across the street.
Both sides held signs and urged people to honk horns.
Drivers honked for people on all the corners.
Some Trump supporters walked across the street to debate issues.
Police parked at the shopping center nearby, but they didn’t have to break up any fights.
Pro Trump supporters also rallied in Santa Barbara on Saturday.
Similar rallies took place across the country and one in Berkeley, California, got physical.
