Friends and relatives of domestic violence murder victims speak out

In October, during Domestic Violence Awareness month, two Camarillo mothers were killed by their husbands who both committed suicide.

Janet Huntington was a nurse with two sons, a stepson and a toddler daughter.

Stacey Guzman also had two sons.

Camarillo moms held fundraisers and started GoFundMe pages to help.

In January, it happened again in another Ventura County city. Teresa Ortiz, an Oxnard mother of six was shot to death. Her husband is behind bars facing murder charges and special circumstances that could lead to the death penalty.

Oxnard police have been collecting donations for their children. Friends and relatives and neighbors don’t want to wait until next October to raise awareness,. That’s why they spoke out during exclusive interviews with Tracy Lehr.

Donation account number 8243980326 at Wells Fargo Bank is set up for the Ortiz children as well as a GoFundMe account. GoFundMe links below are set up for the children of Stacey Guzman and Janet Huntington as well.
