Ventura police searching for suspect who robbed woman at knife point

Ventura police are searching for a suspect who robbed a woman at knife point while she sat in her vehicle Friday evening in Ventura.

According to a press release from Ventura Police Department, a woman was at a stop in her vehicle in the area of Brakey Road when a male suspect approached her vehicle and demanded money.

The woman gave the suspect her wallet but refused to turn over a necklace. The suspect then brandished a knife and struck the woman in the face, causing minor injuries.

The victim was able to drive away and call police.

Police responded to the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect has been described as an Hispanic male in his late 20’s, with a mustache and goatee. He was seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
