Ojai school district employee pleads guilty to misuse of funds

A former Ojai Unified School District employee could face jail time after she pled guilty to using district check to pay for her own bills.

Ladonna Fulcher, 49, pled guilty in district court Friday, to three felony counts of misappropriation of public funds.

Fulcher worked for the Ojai Unified School District in the Business and Adminstrative Services Department for around ten years.

From May 2013 through June 2015, Fulcher used district checks to pay for her rent, cable, groceries, car payments and other miscellaneous items. The amount issued in fraudulent checks is estimated around $64,000.

Fulcher faces a maximum sentence of six years in jail. Sentencing is scheduled for March 23.
