Ventura motel shooting injures two Arizona residents

The Ventura Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Motel 6 located at 2145 Harbor Boulevard.

A 17-year-old and 18-year-old were injured in the shooting. Both male victims are from Arizona. Neither were identified by authorities.

Ventura police say the 17-year-old teen was suffering from a gunshot wound to one of his legs when officers arrived on scene. The 18-year-old suffered gunshot wounds to both of his legs.

Both victims were taken to a local area hospital for medical treatment, they are expected to survive.

Investigators have not yet determined what led to the shooting, and there is no suspect information at this time.
