Hundreds attend “United We Stand” Rally in Santa Barbara
The rain didn’t stop hundreds from attending the “United We Stand” rally and march in Downtown Santa Barbara.
This march is one of many happening this Presidents’ Day Weekend throughout the country. People are celebrating former presidents, but protesting President Donald Trump and his policies.
“I think it’s really important to be visible with their beliefs and to support people. Particularly people who are less privileged,” said Wendi Anderson, a Santa Barbara resident.
The rally took place at De la Guerra Plaza and many people including Congressman Salud Carbajal spoke at the podium.
“There’s so much energy. There’s so much engagement. These are my constituents. They’re the ones stepping up. They’re the ones creating these programs. They’re the ones mobilizing and it’s important for me to be here in solidarity with them,” said Congressman Salud Carbajal.
