Busted water main creates large hole in Santa Barbara
A broken water main has created a good size hole on the 800 block of Olive Street in Santa Barbara.
City repair crews are on the scene and examining the damage and working on repairs. Water was gushing onto the street before workers turned the water off.
The hole is several feet wide and at least a few feet deep. It’s not clear if the weather may have caused the main to break.
