Bob Williams’ contract is set to expire at end of August, 2017

KEYT Sports obtained Bob Williams’ latest contract from UC Santa Barbara. According to the document emailed to Mike Klan by the University, his contract is set to expire August 31, 2017.

There seemed to be some confusion in the community on the termination date.

Williams is in his 19th year as head coach of the Gauchos men’s basketball team and he is experiencing a nightmare season. UCSB is 3-20 with five regular season games remaining. Injuries, academic ineligibilities and poor play has led to their dismal showing.

It is widely thought that Williams will retire following the season. However there has been no official word from the coach.
