Monday rains bring minor flooding in Santa Barbara

Overnight rains flooded Carrillo Street in Santa Barbara Monday morning.

Caltrans workers were out at the intersection under Highway 101 around 3:45 a.m. trying to clear the flooded street.

“Flood” signs placed at the corners of the street didn’t stop drivers from wading through. The intersection was not officially closed but Caltrans crews were blocking at least one lane.
