Students host Soup-n-Suds event to help homeless people

Middle school students found a way to help the homeless. Santa Barbara Middle School students hosted a Suds n Soup event at the laundromat on North Milpas Rd. for homeless people on Saturday. Their guests are greeted with a hot homemade soup and bread. And while they enjoyed the food the students did their laundry for free. They said they hope is that a full stomach and a fresh clothing will help them and show they care. Students raised $400 by holding bake sales and other events to pay for this outreach project. The event will continue on Sunday between 2 and 5p.m..
