Chief Probation Officer placed on administrative leave

The Santa Barbara County Superior Court placed Santa Barbara County Chief Probation Officer Guadalupe Robago on administrative leave on Monday.

County Superior Court Executive Officer Darrel Parker could not go into details as to why Robago was placed on paid leave, saying it was a personnel matter.

Parker did say that court has been in the process of reviewing Robago, who marked his second year on the job Monday, and the Probation Department. During this review, the court discovered something that led to Robago being put on administrative leave.

The review process will conclude in a couple of weeks.

Retired Chief Probation Officer, Beverly Taylor, was sworn in as the acting Chief Probation Officer.
