Motorcyclist killed in Lompoc traffic accident identified

The identity of a motorcyclist killed in a traffic collision in Lompoc Thursday evening has been released.

The person has been identified as Juan Carlos Medina, 23, of Lompoc.

A GoFundMe page has been started by Medina’s family to help pay for funeral expenses.

A motorcyclist is dead after being involved in a traffic collision in Lompoc Thursday evening.

At around 5:30 p.m., the motorcyclist collided with a vehicle near the intersection of North O Street and Stonebrook Drive.

The motorcyclist died on scene. No one else was injured.

North O Street was blocked off to traffic between Central Avenue and Barton Avenue. The public was asked to avoid the area if possible.

The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released at this time,

The crash is under investigation by the Lompoc Police Department Traffic Unit.
