Sam’s Doggie Dude Ranch back open

Sam’s Doggie Dude Ranch in the Refugio area of Goleta is back open for business.

The owners, Susie and Mark Tautrim, and crews spent days clearing out mud and storm debris that covered much of their property as well as the dogs’ kennels.

The popular rural boarding spot can now accommodate up to 15 dogs at a time.

Susie said the couple won’t be able to reassemble their wooden cabins on the property until storm debris is cleared from their creek.

The Tautrim’s 150 year old adobe was badly damaged during last weekend’s storms.
