Human remains found at rural encampment near Ojai
The remains of a deceased person were found late Wednesday night near a rural encampment in the Ojai Valley near Camp Comfort.
Detectives with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office checked the area after receiving information of a deceased person near the encampment.
Detectives located the camp and discovered human remains in the area. The remains were collected by the Ventura County Coroner’s Office .
Details about the deceased person, including gender or age, are unclear at this time.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is under way..
