Thousands of native plants help restore Upper Arroyo Burro

The city of Santa Barbara has completed construction of the Upper Arroyo Burro Restoration Project at Barger Canyon.

City officials celebrated the project completion with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday.

The project included the restoration of approximately almost five acres of habitat, including the removal of existing concrete structures and debris in the creek.

Over 4,500 native plants and trees were also installed at the site.
