KEYT broadcast signal restored Monday night

UPDATE:

KEYT 3’s transmitter resumed normal operations around midnight Monday after power was restored. PG&E determined the outage, which began on Sunday, was the result of fallen wires..

——————-

A power outage at Broadcast Peak west of Santa Barbara has knocked out KEYT 3’s signal across Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties.

The electricity at Broadcast Peak’s transmission facility is provided by PG&E, which operates the utility lines feeding the broadcasting operation.

Transmission from KEYT’s Cuesta Peak transmitter is also affected as it receives the signal from Broadcast Peak and re-broadcasts to San Luis Obispo County.

Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County cable and satellite customers all receive direct fiber feeds and are not affected.
