DUI suspect arrested after crashing vehicle into parked car in Santa Barbara
A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed his vehicle into a parked car in Santa Barbara Saturday afternoon.
A Toyota pickup truck driven by the suspect collided with a parked Mazda SUV on the 400 block of Arrellaga Street shortly after 4:00 p.m.
The vehicle flipped and the driver was trapped in the vehicle.
When emergency responders arrived on scene to remove the man from the vehicle, crews could smell alcohol in the cabin of the truck.
Once the man was removed from the vehicle he was given a field sobriety test and administered a breathalyzer test. Officers on scene determined the man was over the legal limit and he was taken to jail.
No injuries were suffered in the crash and the cause is under investigation.
