Gauchos hand Long Beach State first Big West loss in women’s basketball

Reigning Big West Player of the Week Sarah Porter scored a team-high 17 points as UCSB defeated Long Beach State 65-60 to move into a second place tie with the 49ers in the Big West Conference.

Both teams are now 3-1 in league, a half a game behind UC Davis.

Drea Toler added 14 points for the Gauchos.
