Busy morning for emergency crews as storm hits Central Coast

Emergency crews up and down the coast have had a busy morning as the latest rain storm pounds the Central Coast.

Below are just some of the calls California Highway Patrol has had to handle:

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY

Mud/rock slide beginning to form between Broad Street on ramp and Marsh Street off ramp and U.S. 101 in San Luis Obispo. Call Time: 10:30 a.m. Roadway flooding. Arroyo Creek in San Luis Obispo is over flowing and spilling onto the roadway. Cecchetti Road just east of Lopez Drive. Call time: 9:53 p.m. Roadway flooding at Buckley Road and Vachell Lane in San Luis Obispo. Call time: 9:36 a.m. Heavy flooding across all lanes in the area of state Route 46 and Shandon Rest Area in Templeton. Call time: 9:21 a.m. Mudslide reported at Price Canyon Road just west of Thousand Hills Road in San Luis Obispo. Road closures reported. Call time: 9:06 a.m. A tree is reportedly blocking the entire roadway in the area of Chimney Rock Road and Godfrey Road near Lake Nacimiento. Call time: 7:32 a.m.

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY

Vehicle reportedly washed down a creek at 1160 North San Marcos Road in Santa Barbara. Unknown injuries. Call time: 11:05 a.m. Traffic collision. White pickup truck spun out across all lanes and struck the center divider on southbound U.S. 101 just north of the Garden Street exit. Call Time: 10:24 a.m. Large rocks and mudslide blocking an eastbound lane at Cathedral Oaks Road and North Turnpike Road. Traffic collision. White Mercedes reported over the side. No injuries reported. Southbound U.S. 101 just north of the Nojoqui Summit near Buellton. Call Time: 10:11 a.m. Traffic collision on northbound U.S. 101 near Highway 217. Unknown injuries. Call time: 10:02 a.m. Disabled vehicle reported as a a traffic hazard on southbound U.S. Highway 101 north of Patterson Avenue. Call time: 9:52 a.m. Mud/rock slide blocking the roadway on state Route 192 near Duncan Road in Santa Barbara. Call time: 9:40 a.m. Power line down in the middle of the roadway at 59 San Dimas Avenue in Santa Barbara. No injuries reported. Call time: 9:38 a.m. Roadway flooding in the 1800 block of Refugio Road in Santa Barbara. Call time: 9:27 a.m. Rocks on the roadway of northbound U.S. 101 south of Gaviota State Beach. Call time: 9:23 a.m. Mud/Rock slide with rocks on the roadway on eastbound Highway 154 east of Hidden Valley. Call time: 8:58 a.m. Rocks on the roadway reported on northbound U.S. 101 just south of Arroyo Hondo Bridge. Call time: 8:53 a.m. A tree is reportedly on the roadway in the area of Pardall Road and Embarcadero Del Norte in Isla Vista. No injuries reported. Call time: 10:59 a.m. Multi-car crash involving three vehicles on northbound U.S. 101 just north of Santa Maria Way in the City of Santa Maria. No injuries being reported. Call time: 10:53 a.m.

VENTURA COUNTY

Traffic collision with no reported injuries in the area of northbound U.S. 101 and Seacliff. Call time: 10:26 a.m. Large boulders and several smaller ones in the lanes of state Route 150 near Steckel Park north of Santa Paula. Call time: 10:25 a.m. Red Nissan sedan hydroplaned and went off the roadway and over a hill. CHP says no injuries reported. State Route 23 north off Sunset Hills Boulevard in Moorpark. Call time: 9:59 p.m. Car struck a power pole in the area of Bradley Road and state Route 118. No injuries were reported. Call time: 8:25 a.m.

The public is reminded to drive safely. Another storm is expected to arrive this weekend.
