Royals rout Dons in first meeting of the year in high school hoops

San Marcos jumped on Santa Barbara early and never took the foot off the gas pedal as they cruised to a 72-44 victory.

Ryan Godges scored a game-high 16 points, Jackson Stormo had 15 while Stefan Korfas added 14 as the Royals improved to 2-1 in the Channel League.

San Marcos led 39-18 at the half and the Dons never could mount a comeback. Santa Barbara is 1-1 in league.
