Tree impales car windshield on Santa Barbara road
A driver escapes unscathed after a tree falls and impales his windshield.
It happened earlier Tuesday morning on Old Coast Village Highway and the Montecito Country Club in Santa Barbara. We were told by the driver that the city and the country club are trying to determine who is responsible for the incident.
The driver said he was barely able to duck out of the way as the tree crashed down on his Fiat.
Bystanders we spoke with said this is the second tree in a week to fall in this area.
