Santa Barbara police arrest possible package bandits
Police are involved in a foot pursuit with a subject described as a Hispanic male adult with short hair, and have converged in Santa Barbara’s eastside Monday afternoon.
We picked up the pursuit just before 4 p.m. as officers described the suspect possibly “rooftop hopping” in the area of Carpinteria Street and La Cadena Street.
Officers took two suspects in custody at 4:18 p.m. Early reports indicate this incident may be related to the theft of packages in the neighborhood, possibly taken earlier in the day.
