Westmont College AD runs 50 miles on 50th birthday to raise 50 grand
Nifty at 50 and maybe a little nuts.
Westmont College Athletic Director Dave Odell celebrated his 50th birthday by running 50 miles on the campus track.
He reached his goal by finishing in under nine hours as he crossed the finish line in a time of 8:57:55. Dozens of friends and family cheered Odell on as he gutted out the final laps.
Not only did he prove that he is fit at fifty but Odell’s run will benefit two of his biggest passions, Westmont Athletics and The Santa Barbara Track Club. He raised over fifty thousand dollars.
