Traffic slowed on US 101 near Buellton for vehicle fire

Traffic was slowed on US 101 near the 101/154 interchange about six miles north of Buellton on Saturday after a vehicle fire caused the closure of multiple lanes.

At around 11:30 a.m., California Highway Patrol received a report of a vehicle on fire on the right hand side of the roadway.

CHP arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed. Santa Barbara County Fire was called to put out the fire.

Multiple lanes were closed to allow fire crews to extinguish the fire. Shortly before noon, crews successfully put out the flames.

According to the CHP log, three occupants of the vehicle were able to escape without injury.
