Expired 2016 annual Adventure Pass valid through February

If you’re planning a trip to Los Padres, Angeles, San Bernardino or Cleveland national forests but have an expired 2016 annual Adventure Pass, don’t worry. You can still use it…for a limited time.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Forest Service announced that forest visitors can display their expired 2016 annual passes until February 28.

The decision was a logical move due to the lack of available 2017 Adventure Passes. The 2017 annual pass will go on sale March 1st.

Anyone without a pass can still purchase a daily pass for $5. Visitors without a pass could be issues a citation by patrol officers.
