Rose Parade carriage has a Santa Barbara touch
A carriage in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena had a Santa Barbara look to it this morning.
The entry was created for the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles.
Flowers from Florabundance in Carpinteria were used for some special panels created Saturday in Santa Barbara.
A member of the annual Old Spanish Days staff Mark Martinez and a small crew were brought in to create colorful designs similar to the flowers used on the carriages and floats during Fiesta.
Those panels were delivered to Pasadena and installed on the Rescue Mission carriage in time for the parade that was viewed by millions worldwide.
