Multiple people injured in Highway 154 head-on Crash
Four people were injured when their vehicles crashed head-on Tuesday afternoon in the area of Highway 154 and Armour Ranch Road in Santa Barbara County.
A passenger car and SUV were involved in the crash, and both vehicles received extensive damage.
Three occupants inside the SUV suffered only minor injuries, according to Santa Barbara County Fire Capt. Dave Zaniboni. It’s not known if they were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
A woman in her 60’s traveling inside the passenger car received moderate injuries, according to Zaniboni, and had to be taken to the hospital.
Highway 154 was closed in the immediate area for a short period of time while a Calstar helicopter landed on the highway to transport the woman to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
No further details were immediately known.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
