Oxnard police investigating Christmas Day stabbing

Investigators with the Oxnard Police Department are looking into a Christmas Day stabbing that occurred at Eastwood Park, located at 1451 North F Street.

The attack sent a 24-year-old Oxnard man to the hospital with multiple stab wounds. He’s listed in stable condition.

Police say that officers received a call at 7:23 p.m. regarding a stabbing victim, and were dispatched to the 700 block of Ivywood Drive where they located the victim.

The stabbing occurred near the restrooms at Eastwood Park. Patrol officers patrolling the area saw two suspects matching the description of the suspects, a 17-year old teenage boy and a 16-year-old teenage girl.

Both suspects fled from police after officers spotted them, but were captured in an alleyway at 1301 North G Street. Police say the victim identified both teens as the two responsible for the attack.

The teen suspects were booked into Juvenile Hall.
